Started the bike and let the bike warm up. Bled the system and finally sealed the radiator cap and re-assembled my bike’s upper fairing cowl. I used two (2) half gallon bottles…for my bike. Just pour the whole container in and that’s it. This ENGINE ICE is already pre-mixed which for me is a great idea as you wouldn’t have to mix a pure concentrate coolant and distilled water anymore. Never use ordinary tap water for flushing, so as to prevent rust and mineral deposits in your cooling system. I used several botlles of local distilled drinking water that you can purchase at the supermarket. So one weekend…I drained my old coolant by flushing it with distilled water. So the bikes never get ridden in heavy traffic.Īnyways, since my 2002 Yamaha 1000 was due for a coolant change, this was a great time to test this so called “ENGINE ICE”. This light though, never really came on as I use my bikes on Sunday morning blasts out of town. This indicator light will light up if the engine is about to overheat. The Yamaha being a 2002 model was not equipped with a temperature gauge but just a indicator light on the dash. I never really had any cooling problems with it…but noticed that if the bike sat too long idling…the thermostatic equipped radiator fan kicks in quite quickly and often. This bike is mainly used when I ride to far flung places like the Bicol Area or way up North. This Yamaha Fazer1000 or FZ1 is a half-faired naked sports touring bike. Since I have three at home, I decided to try it on the oldest motorcycle I have which is a 2002 model. He asked me to try it out on my motorcycles. I said “It’s about time someone thought of bringing in that high performance coolant for such a temperate country like the Philippines” His company BlackWater Enterprises finally did. He mentioned he is now the exclusive distributor of this product. My neighbor went up to me several weeks ago and asked me if I ever heard of “ENGINE ICE”. I’ve heard about this product a couple of years ago from friends in the U.S.īut I never had the interest of importing and trying it on my motorcycles…until now. I was recently approached by a friend who coincidentally is my neighbor in the village and now the exclusive distributor of a new product here in the Philippines. Well being a motorcycle enthusiast for about 30 years….I have ridden and tried almost every different kind of motorcycle and high performance product in the market. Vehicle installed : 2002 Yamaha Fz1 – 1000cc (motorcycle)
